Video: Popó rules out 'armed fight' against Whindersson and sends message: 'It's worth a knockout, and there will be one'

After confirming his boxing fight against the comedian Whindersson Nunes, Acelino 'Popó' Freitas used social media to send an important message to his fans. With a serious look, the Brazilian boxing legend assured that he will not go easy on the youtuber in the clash. The dispute takes place on January 30, in Balneário Camboriú.

“Preparing ourselves to put a lot of effort into Whindersson Nunes. A lot of people are saying: 'it's a toy fight, a setup'. Frame is shit. I'm not going to put my name in a fight on any plate, no. It’s worth a knockout, and there will be one”, said the former world boxing champion.

The challenge between Popó and Whindersson began to take shape at the beginning of 2020. At the time, the boxer had challenged the youtuber who immediately made a point of accepting the proposal.

Throughout the 2021 season, it was common to access the social networks of those involved and notice provocations, but there was still no contract for the confrontation. At the end of the year, however, the date was confirmed.

In addition to Whindersson and Popó, the event titled 'Fight Music Show' will feature other confrontations. In total, there will be five boxing fights and three MMA fights.

The public attending the event will also enjoy two special attractions. The presentation will be performed by comedian Tirulipa and the soundtrack will be dictated by Wesley Safadão.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only 2 tickets will be put on sale. For those who do not attend, there will be pay-per-view sales.
