On the rise in Ultimate, Sean O'Malley says he will be bigger than Conor McGregor in MMA

Riding on three consecutive victories, the bantamweight prospect revealed big plans for the future of his career

Considered one of the biggest promises in Ultimate, Sean O'Malley showed he has audacious plans for his career. In a statement given on his podcast, the bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) stated that he considers himself one of the greatest athletes on the current Ultimate roster and stated that he will become a bigger star than Conor McGregor.

“I'm not the biggest name, nor the biggest pay-per-view yet. I never got to headline a numbered event, but I bet that whoever is in the UFC looking at numbers and potential, looks at me and knows who the 'daddy' is. I said this on 'Contender Series,' that I would be bigger than (Conor) McGregor. I remember really believing it. I see there aren't many fighters bigger than me right now. Say what you want, but who's bigger than me now? I could lead a numbered event right now, with the right opponent. Not with some of these idiots who are challenging me. You need to have a good dance partner,” O’Malley said.

Twelfth in the bantamweight rankings, 'Sugar' has been riding on three consecutive victories, all in 2021. The North American defeated in succession Thomas almeida, Kris moutinho e Raulian paiva. The fighter has a record of 15 triumphs and only one setback in professional MMA.
