Former professional boxer Danny Kelly Jr, aged 30, was shot dead in front of his girlfriend and three children on Christmas Eve, in the state of Maryland, in the United States.

According to information from the New York Post newspaper, authorities in Temple Hill, Danny Kelly's hometown, where the crime occurred, are working with the hypothesis that a traffic fight motivated the former boxer's murder.

According to investigations, Danny Kelly Jr was in a car with his girlfriend and three children when another vehicle stopped alongside and opened fire. Only the former boxer was hit by the shots.

Danny was found by the police with several bullet holes and unconscious. A reward of 25 thousand dollars (approximately 140 thousand reais) is being offered by the authorities to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the killer.

Tonny Kelly Jr. was a professional boxer with a record of ten wins, three losses and one draw. Of the athlete's ten triumphs, nine had been by knockout. His last fight took place in 2019, when he won by technical knockout.
