Flyweight promise, Manel Kape asks for a rematch against Alexandre Pantoja

In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the Angolan fighter revealed his desire to face the Brazilian again and also mentioned Kai Kara-France as a possible opponent.

In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the 'Garoto Estrela' asked for a rematch against the Brazilian Alexandre pantoja or by a confrontation against Kai Kara France.

“The fights that excite me now are Kai Kara France or (Alexandre) Pantoja. I don't believe they will accept it, but I want Kai Kara or Pantoja. I should fight in February with Tim Elliott, but he refused. First he accepted, then he refused the fight. I was supposed to fight in February,” Kape revealed.

Kai Kara France, who defeated cody garbrandt No. UFC 269, asked for a title shot in his next fight, but Kape believes he won't achieve his goal at this point and downplayed the victory over 'No Love'.

“He (Kara-France) doesn’t deserve the fight (for the title). It's crazy what he's saying. Cody is a good name. One hundred percent, he's a good name. He was a former champion, but at bantamweight. Now, at flyweight it’s totally different,” said Manel.

Number six in the flyweight rankings, Manel had four fights in 2021 and suffered two defeats (Alexandre pantoja and Mateus Nicolau) and two victories (Ode Osbourne e Zhalgas Zhumagulov). At 28 years old, the Angolan has a record of 17 wins and six losses in professional MMA.
