“No matter how much in my eyes and a lot of people's eyes, I was the only fight that made sense, because you never know with the UFC. They make decisions, sometimes, that may not make much sense. Until I get that confirmation, now it's real. It's a very good feeling. Maybe I wasn't the greatest spokesperson for my cause, I didn't say that I'm the best in the division, that I deserve this more than anyone else. That was never me. I try to win fights and my actions showed that I deserve it. I thought I did enough to achieve it in the last fight and now it’s a reality”, celebrated Carla.

She wants to stay busy. If we can make it happen before that date, it would be amazing. If not, I am completely willing to change my wedding date. Everyone on my wedding list is my friend and would 100% understand. My fiance, let's get married no matter what. We'll be together forever, so the fact that the date is a few months later doesn't change things. This fight for the title is the priority now”, concluded Esparza.
