The 2021 Ultimate season really wasn't good for Carlos Diego Ferreira. First Brazilian to enter the octagon on the main card of the UFC Las Vegas 45, held this Saturday (18), the lightweight (up to 70,3kg.) was unsuccessful against the promising Mateusz gamrot. Victim of a powerful knee to the ribs, the Amazonian ended up knocked out in the second round, when he asked the referee to stop after calling the blow.

With the defeat, Diego becomes complicated once again in Ultimate. The stumble extended the athlete's bad phase, which now has three consecutive setbacks.
On one side, the Brazilian regrets, but, on the other, Gamrot vibrates. Promise of the UFC, the fighter reaches his third consecutive triumph and officially reaches the ranking of the category led by Charles of the Bronx.
In an interview still in the octagon, Mateusz challenged Michael chandler. The fighter aims to advance even further in the lightweight division.
The fight
The confrontation began with Ferreira making the first attack, with a low kick. Gamrot responded with a cross, which stopped in the Brazilian's guard. Halfway through the round, Carlos flew into his opponent's legs and attempted the first takedown. The Pole defended himself well, took a stance, and did not allow the attack. With just over two minutes remaining, it was Gamrot's turn to put the Tupiniquim down, but then allowed Diego to get up. In the final seconds, the Pole took down the Brazilian again, but, just like in the first moment, he let Diego get up. The round ended with the fighters exchanging blows in the center of the octagon.
In the second stage, Diego started attacking with combinations of kicks and punches. Mateusz did not leave the Brazilian's attacks unanswered and showed danger in the counterattack. After just over a minute, the Pole reversed a takedown by the Brazilian and the fighters began to show off their technique on the ground. Gamrot gave up his position and let the Tupiniquim stand. Halfway through the stage, Matuesz took down again, but Diego got up quickly. In another takedown, Gamrot managed to take him down, reached his back and, with the Brazilian kneeling, threw a knee to the Tupiniquim's ribs. Diego felt the blow and asked the referee to stop.

UFC veteran, Cub swanson He put on a real show in the fight that opened the main card. Known for his knockout power, the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) made his name count and gave his rival no chance in a frank striking confrontation. With a precise and hard-hitting combination of blows, the athlete made his opponent 'lose his way' in the first round.
With the victory, Swanson moves away from the bad moment. Before stepping into the octagon, the fighter had five stumbles in his last seven appearances.
While Cub celebrates, Darren regrets the result. With the stumble, Darren has five negative results in the last seven matches.
