Khabib's organization confirms opponent for Renan Barão's debut in his 'fresh start' in MMA

A feared name in UFC bantamweights (up to 61,2kg) for a few years now, Renan Barao was officially signed as a new signing by Eagle FC, an MMA organization headed by Khabib Nurmagomedov. On the company's social networks, the Brazilian was confirmed as Horacio Gutierrez's opponent in an event that takes place on January 28, in Miami (USA).

Ready to get back on track with his career, Barão will have his first fight since his release from UFC. Considered, a few years ago, as the best pound-for-pound in the world by Dana White, Renan has accumulated eight defeats in his last 10 fights.

The Brazilian's last victory, who led the Ultimate bantamweight division between 2012 and 2014, took place in 2016. On that occasion, the athlete overcame Philippe Nover, by points.

Today, Barão is 34 years old. The fighter has 34 wins, nine losses and one 'no contest'. Responsible for trying to expand the Brazilian's bad moment, Gutierrez arrives for the confrontation with 10 fights on his record, seven triumphs and three setbacks.
