Asked about the quick triumph over Erik Anders, still in the first round, the Brazilian fighter admitted that he did not expect such an easy victory and emphasized the hard training he had for the confrontation.
"Erik Anders He's a very tough guy, with a lot of experience. He fought Brazilians like Lyoto Machida e Thiago Marreta. He's had some main fights before, so I was expecting a really tough fight, even tougher than it actually was. My team and I worked hard in camp. That’s why I was able to fight like that”, concluded the Brazilian.
Hired in 2019 after participating in the 'Contender Series', Sergipano won his four fights in the organization, three by submission. At 31 years of age, the Brazilian fighter has a record of 22 triumphs and four setbacks in professional MMA.
