“I don't care what people think. I go and make it happen. Almost every time I entered here, I entered as the guy who didn't deserve it, who wasn't a champion. What are they talking about now? That I can't take a beating. Look at everything I've been doing. They say I give up. What are they going to look for now?” asked Do Bronx.

Lightweight champion since May 2021, Charles entered the Octagon as an underdog against Poirier. The Brazilian, however, managed, once again, to prove himself worthy of the throne.

In the confrontation, Do Bronx was scared in the first round. The athlete, however, showed resistance and reversed the disadvantage in the second and third rounds.

The Brazilian achieved victory in his best style. In the third stage, the fighter managed to put his jiu-jitsu into play and managed to secure a rear-naked choke, forcing Dustin to withdraw.

In addition to keeping the title, the Brazilian expanded the great moment in his career. From the Bronx, today, he has 10 positive results in a row and has not known what it's like to lose since April 2017, when he was beaten by Paul felder.
