In an exclusive interview to SUPER FIGHTS, Munhoz made a point of talking about the subject. The Brazilian highlighted that he even met the North American, who seemed to be scared of meeting him. Still, he understands that 'trash talk' is part of the game.
“Some fighters do 'trash talk'. I met the guy at the hotel, he looked at me and was even a little scared. But I don't take it personally. He is a very young boy, with a culture a little different from ours. When I was his age, I solved things on the street. But as I matured, being a family man and a professional, I would never put myself in a situation where I wouldn’t be professional in the octagon,” said Pedro.
Asked about a possible fight against 'Suga' in the future, Peter Munhoz assured that he is only focused on winning Dominick Cruz and says he doesn't take the pledge's recent comments personally.
"Not now. I have a big fight ahead of me, preparing for a big showdown in the final week. It's not something I have in mind. (…), but as long as he doesn't invade my privacy, he can say whatever he wants. He's trying to sell his image, but I don't take it personally. He is selling, has a good reputation and a good image on social media. But is it all worth it? I don't know. It's up to each person. I'm here not to judge anyone. It’s cool for me,” he concluded.
