In an interview with the North American website Sherodg, Marcus “Conan” Silveira, leader of the American Top Team, said he was convinced of a submission victory for Harrison over Cyborg if the duel took place today.
“I have no doubt that Kayla (Harrison) would be a terrible match for Cris (Cyborg). Cyborg has been playing the same game since he started in MMA, so it wouldn't be a problem for Kayla to take her down. If this fight happened today, I would say that Kayla would definitely submit Cris”, guaranteed the trainer.
Another American Top Team prospect highly praised by the coach was jiu-jitsu legend Marcus Buchecha, who made the transition to MMA after winning 13 world titles in the gentle art. After two victories at ONE Championship, “Conan” believes that Buchecha has the potential to go far in his new journey.
“I'm really impressed with Buchecha's evolution, I have no doubt that this boy will go far. He arrived here as a beginner in MMA and is already sparring with some of our best heavyweights. He didn't win 13 jiu-jitsu world titles by chance. This kid works hard and has a great sense of teamwork. He helps everyone, so everyone helps him and is happy to support him. He is learning quickly and I really believe that, step by step, he will go far”, concluded Conan.
