Unable to win the US$1 million prize in the PFL's lightweight (up to 70,3kg) tournament, Anthony Pettis at least he got some 'change' by betting on his brother Sergio Pettis' victory in the Bellator 272 last Friday (3). In a post made on his 'Twitter', the former UFC champion revealed that he earned just over US$27 from his youngest son's knockout of Kyoji Horiguchi.

No Bellator 272, Sergio Pettis made his first defense of the bantamweight belt (under 61,2kg). Leader of the division since May 2021, the 'Phenomenon' measured forces against the Japanese Kyoji Horiguchi, former champion of the category and who returned to the organization after two years. In a very complicated fight, Anthony's brother managed a spectacular comeback and knocked out the challenger with a round punch in the fourth round.
Hired by the PFL at the beginning of 2021 as one of the biggest stars of the lightweight tournament, Anthony had a disappointing first season with the company. With two defeats, to Clay Collard and Raush Manfio respectively, the North American failed to even reach the semi-finals of the championship. At 34 years old, Pettis has an MMA record of 24 wins and 12 losses.
