José Aldo dominates Rob Font, wins another one and gets closer to the UFC belt

Brazilian shines in the octagon and, with a gala performance at UFC Las Vegas 44, achieves third positive result in the bantamweight category (up to 61.2 kg.)

A gala night for José Aldo. Big star in UFC Las Vegas 44, held this Saturday (4), the Brazilian did not have an easy life, but he proved once again to be adapted to bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.). The fight

The confrontation began with Font shortening and throwing a jab at the Brazilian's face. Rob continued to be more aggressive and dictated the pace, making his greater reach count. The Brazilian was unable to close the distance and attacked with long-range kicks. After a minute, the American feigned a punch, but went for the legs and took the Brazilian to the ground. Aldo managed to get up easily, but Rob was still attached to the manauara. The minutes passed and Font continued to have the advantage in striking. The American managed to recover and returned to scoring with jabs and straight shots. In the final minute, Aldo grew again, attacking his opponent with clean punches to the face. The Brazilian, however, was careful not to be surprised by a counterattack from his opponent. The round ended with the fighters exchanging blows in the center of the Octagon.

The third stage began with Aldo rocking Font with two low kicks. The Brazilian continued trying to undermine his opponent's base. José's kicks landed cleanly on Rob's right leg, but the American continued walking forward and throwing jabs. After a minute of fighting, Font looked for the Brazilian's legs, but ended up getting hurt. The Manauara was alert and fell on top, in an advantageous position. The duel continued to be disputed with the 'People's Champion' on top. Font tried to stop the confrontation and prevent the Tupiniquim's advances. With about two minutes left in the round, Font managed to explode and stay on his feet. Afterwards, the duel was fought again in the center of the Octagon. In the final seconds, José knocked the American down with a low kick, but his opponent got up quickly. The stage ended with the athletes studying each other close to the railings.

In the fourth round, Aldo knocked Font off balance in the opening seconds. After a well-aimed direct shot, the man from Manaus attacked Rob, who fell. On top, José tried to assert his advantage and looked for transitions. Below, the North American showed signs of tiredness. With two minutes remaining, the Brazilian tried to reach mount, but Font defended himself. Even without many actions, the Brazilian continued to have an advantage, while Rob just protected himself. The round ended with Aldo on top.

The decisive round began with Font walking forward and throwing jabs and rights. What Rob said, Aldo responded immediately. After a minute, the American started grappling and pressed José against the bars, looking for takedowns. The man from Manaus managed to free himself and started striking. The duel was tense, with the athletes, despite being tired, leaving everything in the octagon. With just over two minutes remaining, Aldo rocked Font again with a right bomb. The Brazilian started striking and the North American visibly felt the attacks. In the final minute, José managed to get to his back and attempted a rear naked choke. The American protected himself as best he could, but the moment was tense for Rob. The round ended with Aldo 'glued' to his opponent.
