After submitting Minotauro, Werdum could face Daniel Cormier

After winning Rodrigo Minotauro, in the rematch of the fight between the two at PRIDE and the TUF Brasil 2 coaches' meeting, Frabrício Werdum may have the opponent he asked for in his next fight. Speaking to the press after the UFC 162 press conference, organization president Dana White responded about the possibility of the duel, suggested by the Brazilian himself, taking place.

“Cormier vs Werdum? Werdum was in my office two days ago and that's probably where this rumor came from. He wants this fight, but let’s see what happens”, said the director. Speaking to the website “Combate.com”, Werdum confirmed his desire to face the former Strikeforce champion and even suggested a date: October 19, at UFC 166, which has Junior Gypsy against Cain Velazquez as the main event. In turn, Cormier showed interest in the likely confrontation, but stated that he had not been officially contacted about the fight.
