The climate between Jon Jones and the gym'Jackson Wink MMA', by Mike Winkeljohn, is heavy. After a new controversy with the courts for being accused of domestic violence, theBones' was removed from the team that consecrated him and, now, has decided to respond. In a report deleted in 'Twitter', the American lost his patience and made harsh accusations against his former coach.

“Coach 'Wink' goes on national TV and tells the world he wants what's best for me, and then behind the scenes harasses the other coaches for continuing to work with me. What a miserable bastard. (…) I didn't leave the team because I couldn't handle punishment, I left the gym because I wasn't training with Wink anymore. This man hasn't taught his students a new technique since I met him. (…) We literally had a convicted rapist training on the team for years and now all of a sudden he has morals. Get out of here,” Jones wrote.

Mike, in the past, stated that he had removed Jon so that he could make changes to his habits and focus, in fact, only on his fights. However, the 'Bones' suggests little interest in returning and, in addition, also accuses the coach of wanting to 'profit' from his image.

“What kind of friend appears on TV and airs (washes) his 'brothers' dirty laundry. This was his opportunity to take the moral high ground over someone who trusts him. He didn't give a shit about what really happened that night. Anything for some publicity. If I were a monster, he wouldn't still be trying to profit from the fact that I was a former student there. There is a poster of Jon Jones spread across almost every wall of that building. Just don't go on TV and pretend to give a shit about someone who has made you so much money over the years by giving you so many world championships.”

Meanwhile, Jones continues training and preparing for his return to MMA. The athlete has not played since February 2020, when he defeated Dominick reyes and defended his old belt. Considered by many to be the best fighter of all time, the American has a record of 26 victories and one setback.
