“I’m going to tell you the truth about what happened to Jorge masvidal in truth. I still have people at their gym who still love me, and I'm the people's champion for a reason. So I get the inside scoop on everything. So, that fragile guy – the 'Judas of the Streets' – Jorge masvidal broke his rib. He fractured his ribs in training, and yes, he is fragile and had to withdraw from the fight. It's a shame that people still love me at their gym more than they love him,” said Covington, in an interview with 'Submission Radio'.

While he was still training at 'ATT', Covington was a great friend of Masvidal and even shared his sparring with the athlete for some of his fights in the same facilities. However, now, he is considering facing him and said that he left crying after being injured.

“I'm telling you the truth. He went to the gym to train on Saturday and fractured his ribs, in addition to leaving the gym crying. And then he went to the doctor for an X-ray, and they determined it was fractured ribs. He's a fragile b*tch. It's a complete joke. That's why people are telling me what's happening to him. He tried to keep it a secret. He didn't want to tell the media, he didn't want people to know, but now they know because of Colby 'Chaos' Covington,” continued the American.

Companions for years on 'American Top Team', Colby and Masvidal were once best friends. After Covington left the team, the athletes began exchanging barbs via the press and social media. If the former interim welterweight champion tries to get back on track to winning ways, the same can be said of Jorge. The athlete is coming off two consecutive defeats to Usman, in a fight for the group's belt.
