Fedor Emelianenko opens the door to face Roy Jones Jr. in boxing, but imposes conditions

MMA legend, Russian wants to test himself in the 'noble art' and believes that the North American would be an ideal opponent

The trend of disputes between big names in boxing and MMA could gain another clash. Legend of mixed martial arts, Fedor Emelianenko opened the door to face former boxing champion, Roy Jones Jr. The Russian, however, believes that the fight could get off the ground, if a promoter is able to organize it.

“I treat him with great respect and see him as a great athlete and a legendary person. He is one of the most outstanding boxers of all time. It would be a great honor to enter the fight, because I am very interested in super fights, especially fights against opponents like Roy (Jones Jr.). The only thing that remains to be resolved is to find a promoter capable of organizing and discussing the terms”, said Fedor in an interview with 'TASS'.

Considered, by many, as one of the greatest places in history, Fedor Emelianenko He has a record of 40 wins, six losses and one unsuccessful fight in professional MMA. At 45 years old, the Russian has already beaten names like Rodrigo Minotauro, Mirko Cro Cop, Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia.

Roy Jones Jr., 52 years old, won a silver medal at the 1988 Olympics and competed for 20 years, having accumulated a record of 66 positive results and nine negative results.
