The Swedish naturalized Congolese Papy Abedi He had spent his entire career as a middleweight before arriving in the UFC. In the biggest organization in the world, fighting as a welterweight, he was submitted by Thiago Pitbull and James Head, saving his job in a difficult victory over Besam Yousef. The difficult trajectory made Abedi return to his old category.
Makambo's first fight as a middleweight in the UFC has already been scheduled. Abedi will face the American Dylan Andrews in the second edition of UFC On FOX Sports 1, an event scheduled for August 28, in Indianapolis. This is the twelfth fight confirmed on the card.
Andrews was revealed on TUF 17. He reached the semifinals of the program, but was eliminated after being knocked out by another Uriah Hall. At the TUF 17 Finale, Andrews secured his place in the UFC with a first-round knockout victory over Jimmy Quinlan.
