Recently, Kamaru Usman mentioned the name of boxing star Canelo Álvarez as one of the possible opponents he would like to face in combat sports. And, despite being focused on the rematch against Colby covington which takes place this Saturday (6) at UFC 268, the Nigerian reaffirmed his desire to face the Mexican in the 'noble art' and justified his interest.

“When have you ever seen two pound-for-pound fighters in their respective sports face each other? Who is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world right now? It's not about money, it's about what gets me out of bed. I want (to fight Canelo)”, said Usman, in an interview with 'ESPN'.

However, it seems to be difficult for combat to happen currently. After all, Kamaru is preparing to defend his title against his arch-rival Colby covington, while Álvarez also resolves his issues with Caleb Plant – with both fights taking place this Saturday (6).
