The history of Glover Teixeira e Anthony Johnson, in fact, marked one of the Brazilian's last negative points until his great rise towards the Ultimate belt. In 2016, the two athletes faced each other and, in just 13 seconds, the American managed to knock him out with an uppercut to the chin.

Since then, Glover has still wavered, but managed to achieve a series of five consecutive victories – including good performances against Anthony Smith e Thiago Marreta – until he is accredited for a new title fight. And, in UFC 267, he finished Jan Blachowicz in the second round and became the second oldest athlete to hold a belt in the company's history.
