Dudu Dantas travels to the Netherlands to improve Muay Thai

Eduardo Dantas, from Rio de Janeiro, the only Brazilian champion of Bellator, takes an important step to improve his already aggressive striking. The Nova União bantamweight embarks this Monday for the Netherlands, the main world Muay Thai power alongside Thailand.

Dantas will undergo a period of training at Mike's Gym, in Amsterdam. Led by Mike Passenier, the team has kickboxers of the world elite of the sport such as the Moroccan Badr Hari, the Turkish Gokhan Saki, the Dutch Melvin Manhoef and which recently included the also Dutch alistair overeem, UFC athlete.

The bantamweight champion of the second largest MMA organization in the world was in Porto Alegre at an MMA product store last weekend. It was Dantas' last public appearance in Brazil before his trip to the Netherlands.

Through his press office, the athlete informed that he intends to have two more fights this year. As Bellator has not held any tournament in the category since Marcos Loro won the right to challenge Dudu, there is no new challenger defined for the champion. Dantas knocked out Loro in February at Bellator 89.
