“The best lesson I learned from this fight is that I can't stop. Not in fighting, not in life. If you stop, a sharp blow comes and hits you. That's what happened to me. I was winning the fight, I think I settled down, stopped my head and she came in with that beautiful, perfect blow. I took this as a learning experience. In every training session afterwards, in everything, I never stop. I'm always active, thinking about what might come, attacking. I think that’s what I improved”, analyzed Amanda.

Recovery from Covid-19 and hunger to fight

After the defeat against Marina, in January, Amanda ribas came close to returning to the octagon in May, against Angela Hill. However, the Brazilian and her father tested positive for Covid-19 on the day of the fight, which had to be cancelled. At the time, Amanda reported strong symptoms of the disease, but guarantees that, six months later, she is 100% recovered.

“Thank God I don’t feel anything anymore. Neither me nor my father. I was worried, it was the second time I caught it. When I had the disease, I felt sick. I needed to take medicine for my lungs and everything, but thank God I don't feel anything anymore, everything is fine, my taste buds are back, so everything is fine (laughs)”, said the girl from Minas Gerais.

Fully recovered from covid-19 and hungry for the fight, Amanda ribas promised to give himself completely in the duel against Virna jandiroba in this Saturday.

PUBLICITY:

“It will be a dedication from the heart. I really want to fight. For the last fight I did the entire training camp, the entire weight cut, which is the hardest part, and what's really enjoyable I didn't do, which is fighting. This time I really want to fight, everyone can expect Amanda with the desire to show her work”, promised the fighter.

Minas Gerais, who has a victory, over paige vanzant and a defeat, against Marina Rodriguez, stated that she feels very good in the place, but denied having any kind of advantage over her opponent because of this.

“It’s wonderful to come here, the people treat us really well. I like the climate, it's a little warm, which is good, getting a little pool, some color to energize you for the fight. But every fight is a fight. This time it will be different, at a different time. But, being in Abu Dhabi, I already love it,” she said.

Bet on Brazilian belt in main fight

Lastly, Amanda ribas gave his predictions for the main fight of the UFC 267, which features a fight for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg), between the champion Jan Blachowicz and the challenger Glover Teixeira. In Amandinha's opinion, the belt has everything to end up in Brazilian hands.

“I think it works for Glover. I saw him in the pool and he is doing very well. I think she will move a lot and take the belt”, concluded the fighter.
