Legend of the strawweights (up to 52,1kg.) in MMA, Joanna Jedrzejczyk he joined forces with other UFC teammates to demand better payments from the company. Without fighting for almost two years and recently removed from the company's rankings due to inactivity, the former company champion publicly asked for financial recognition. In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', the athlete pointed out the situation as conditional for her return to the Octagon.

“I feel like I deserve a bigger slice of the pie. I don't see myself fighting outside of the UFC, but there are people interested in signing me and offering a lot of money. I'm a soldier. I feel that seeing pay per view, but I no longer receive credit. I'm not complaining. I'm no longer the champion, but I deserve more. I'll discuss this with Dana (White), who I'm arranging the fights with. I feel good. I want to return to the octagon soon”, said the combatant.
Strawweight champion between 2015 and 2017, Joanna hasn't stepped into the octagon since her big battle against Weili Zhang, in February 2020. At the time, the Polish woman was trying to regain the group's throne, but ended up being beaten by the Chinese on points, in one of the best fights in the history of women's MMA.
After the stumble, Jedrzejczyk chose to remain outside the organization's fight programs. Without performing, the fighter ended up being removed from the rankings that position the company's best athletes.
At 34 years old, Joanna has 20 professional MMA fights. Over her almost 10-year career, the Polish woman has recorded 16 wins and four defeats.
