Former Ultimate fighter Josh Thomson says Nate Diaz will not renew his UFC contract

Former Strikeforce champion and now retired, the North American said that Diaz's time in the UFC is coming to an end and explained what his next challenge will be

With Nate Diaz nearing the end of his UFC contract, the future of the 'bad boy' does not seem to be in the organization chaired by Dana White. In a statement given in his podcast, the former lightweight challenger (up to 70,3kg) Josh thomson stated that the controversial fighter will not renew his contract with Ultimate and stated what his next career challenge will be.

“I want you all to know this. He (Nate diaz)is leaving the UFC. He's negotiating to fight Jake Paul. They will fight. This fight will happen,” said Thomson.

Now retired and working as an official commentator for Bellator, Josh is a former Strikeforce lightweight champion and former Ultimate challenger. The North American arrived at the UFC in 2013 and in his first fight in the organization achieved a feat that has not been equaled to this day: he defeated Nate diaz by knockout. Thomson hung up his gloves in 2017 with a record of 22 triumphs and nine setbacks.
