Led by the unification of the heavyweight belt, between Francis Ngannou e Cyryl Gane: UFC 270 there was another fight confirmed. In the welterweight division (up to 77 kg), Warlley alves measures forces against the newcomer Jack Della Maddalena. The duel had been announced during a recent broadcast of the Dana White Contender Series and the date was initially confirmed by the MMA Lab page on Twitter. The event takes place on January 22nd.

Winner of the third edition of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil, Warlley alves enters into action seeking to recover from the defeat suffered in his last fight, in June this year, when he was knocked out by Jeremiah Wells. At 30 years old, Warlley has been alternating between good and bad results since August 2018. The X-Gym athlete hasn't won two in a row since 2017, but he also hasn't been defeated twice in a row since 2016.
The Brazilian's opponent on January 22nd will be Jack Della Maddalena. Considered one of the biggest promises in Australian MMA, the 25-year-old athlete debuts in Ultimate after securing a place in the organization through the Contender Series in September. After losing her first two professional fights in 2016, Maddalena recorded ten consecutive victories, eight of which were by knockout and one by submission.
Warlley alves is the sixth Brazilian confirmed in UFC 270. In the co-main fight of the event, Deiveson Figueiredo seeks to regain the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) in a trilogy against the champion Brandon Moreno. The other Brazilian representatives on the card are Wellington Turman, Rudolph Vieira, Poliana Botelho and Saimon Oliveira.
