After emerging victorious in the unanimous decision of the judges, Marvin vettori did not change his opinion regarding Borrachinha. In a press conference given after the event, asked if he created any kind of respect towards the Brazilian after the end of the fight, the Italian was firm in denying it.

“He’s full of s***, to be honest. I don't like how he behaves. If I see him now, I probably won't go after him, but I wouldn't share a drink. F*** you, follow your path and I'll follow mine. You lost and you will give me 30% of your scholarship. Go run, you fat guy”, shot Vettori.

For the duel to be confirmed in the light heavyweight division, Paulo borrachinha, who would not be able to fulfill the agreement and reach the middleweight limit, had to give up a percentage of his purse and allocate it to his rival.
