Fight between St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks should take place in October

Apparently, October is the month set for the welterweight champion's next title defense Georges St Pierre. Although there is no precise definition of the date or event in which the fight will take place, GSP's opponent is already known: John hendricks, the number one contender in the division.

At the end of Tuesday night (11), at Twitter, the Canadian profile UFC Central reported that the revelation came from the organization's president himself. “Dana White just told us that he hopes Georges St Pierre in front John hendricks in October”, published the website on the microblogging network.

The challenger's reaction was not long in coming. Upon hearing the news, Hendricks immediately responded to UFC Central's message in a joking tone. " That is great! Dana White said where? (laughs)”, wrote the North American, who also used the hashtag #last2know, or “last to know” – in free translation.

John hendricks won the right to challenge for the UFC welterweight belt by winning Carlos Condit at UFC 158, in March this year. In the main fight of the same event, St. Pierre defeated Nick Diaz and defended his title for the eighth consecutive time.
