A true show between two warriors closed the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 41, held this Saturday (23). In the confrontation between Gregory Robocop e Jun Yong Park, the fighters showed a lot of heart and left everything in the Octagon. After 'walking' in the first round, the Brazilian ended up getting his revenge in the next round, but overcame punishment and found victory with a tough knockout, which erased his rival.

Candidate for one of the performance bonuses, Robocop confirmed the good moment in the organization. Representative of the middleweights (up to 83,9kg), the Brazilian maintained his unbeaten record in Ultimate, with two positive results in a row.
Erased by Gregory, Park had his streak of three consecutive victories with Ultimate gloves interrupted. The South Korean's last defeat was in August 2019, when he was submitted by anthony hernandez.
The fight
The confrontation began with the athletes studying each other in the center of the Octagon. The first blow was struck by Park after almost a minute had passed. Robocop responded with two kicks to his opponent's body. Gragory rocked the South Korean with a combination of crosses and straight shots. Park responded and the athletes accepted the frank exchange. After two minutes, the Brazilian sought the clinch. Yong moved away, but ended up being surprised by a clean elbow to the face. The duel continued to be busy, with both fighters looking for a knockout. Robocop showed high-level jiu-jitsu, took down his opponent and immediately got to his back. In a disadvantageous position, the South Korean tried to defend himself, but Robocop followed his opponent's movements. Gregory remained trapped behind his rival and looked for space to find the submission. Close to the final minute, the Tupiniquim struck and tried to find the space to finish. Towards the end of the stage, Robocop struck, but the South Korean ended up saved by the bell.
In the opening seconds of the second round, Park rocked the Brazilian with a combination of punches. Cornered against the bars, Robocop tried to respond, but the moment was bad. The Tupiniquim went for the legs, almost got caught in a guillotine, but managed to reverse the situation. The South Korean stayed on his feet, once again had the advantage in the striking, but, with mastery, Gregory once again took down his opponent. The Brazilian tried to get to the back, but Yong managed to move away. In striking, the South Korean continued to have the advantage. Jun's blows came in clean and rocked the Tupiniquim. Gregory showed a lot of heart and managed to take advantage of the moment with a right bomb, which shook his rival. The Brazilian took advantage of the good moment and the South Korean ended up being knocked out on his feet.

With a last-minute replacement opponent, Mason Jones starred in one of the most exciting fights in the UFC Las Vegas 41. Before david onama, stepped in place of the injured Alan Nuguette, the light weight (up to 70,3kg.) did not have an easy life. There were three busy rounds with a display of technique on both sides. After 15 minutes of fighting, Jones was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges.
With the result, Jones wins again after more than a year. The athlete was coming off a stumble and a 'no contest' against Alan Nuguette.
The stumble in his Ultimate debut marked the first defeat in Onama's career. Called up at the last minute for the show, the athlete now has a setback in nine MMA appearances.
