At a delicate moment in his relationship with Ultimate, Francis Ngannou he started arguing again. Opponent of Cyryl Gane protocols for UFC 270, in January, the lineal heavyweight champion (120,2kg.) praised his rival, but admitted that the commitment is not the one he dreams of. In an interview with 'The MMA Hour', the 'giant' remembered again Jon Jones.

“It’s a good fight (against Gane). You need to be aware of the danger of any confrontation. He's a good opponent, but not at the level of a match against Jon Jones, for example. It’s not the same thing,” said Francis.
Ultimate champion since March, Ngannou has never hidden his desire to share the octagon against the light heavyweight legend (up to 93kg). 'Bones' difficult relationship with the company, the preparation time for the move to heavyweight and the controversies outside of MMA, however, made it difficult to reach an agreement with the North American.
While Jones remains away, it is with Ciryl that Francis will promote his return to the 'fighting field'. On January 22, the athletes will face each other in a duel valid for the unification of the heavyweight title.
In August, Gane made history by becoming yet another interim champion in the 120,2kg group. To get to the belt, the Frenchman had to go through Derrick Lewis, who was having a great time in the organization.
