On September 23, Jon Jones had just been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his fight against Alexander Gustafson, when he was arrested accused of domestic violence, bodily harm and vehicle violation. “People make mistakes – we don't know all the facts or whatever – but if he put his hands on a woman, it's the most disgusting move you can make. He should have been arrested if he did that. People make mistakes, but when you make them over and over again, it's no longer a mistake. It’s a habit,” Bader said.

Now a Bellator athlete, Ryan bader understands that the UFC is in a difficult situation with Jon Jones, as he still doesn't know how to react to the North American's recent controversies and isn't sure about releasing him from his contract.

“I see both sides. Do they want to let him go and be picked up by another organization? Probably not. But if he does something again – that hurts someone, there is a responsibility on the UFC for not having done anything. They are in a very different position than five years ago, where he was champion”, concluded the fighter.

The history of Ryan bader com Jon Jones is not recent, as both athletes faced each other in February 2011, at UFC 126. At the time, 'Bones' was not yet champion, he submitted in the second round and qualified for a light heavyweight title fight (until 93kg.).
