Ultimate confirms duel between Augusto Sakai and Tai Tuivasa at UFC Las Vegas 43

Ultimate confirmed, this Tuesday (12), the duel between heavyweights (up to 120,2 kg) Augusto Sakai and Tai tuivasa. The two face each other on the card of UFC Las Vegas 43, on November 20, at UFC Apex.

The information was released by the UFC itself through its official profile dedicated to the Brazilian public on Instagram.

Augusto Sakai is looking to recover from the two defeats suffered in his last fights in Ultimate. The 30-year-old Brazilian was knocked out by Jairzinho Rozenstruik in June this year and alistair overeem in September last year. Despite the bad sequence, the Curitiba native is tenth in the heavyweight rankings, as he had won his first four fights in the organization, against Chase sherman, Andrei Arlovski, Marcin tybura e Blagoy Ivanov. In his career, Sakai has 15 wins, 11 by knockout, three defeats and one draw.

Tai tuivasa, on the other hand, seeks entry into the division rankings. After losing three in a row between 2018 and 2019, the 28-year-old Australian turned things around and has been on the back of three consecutive victories over Stefan struve, Harry Hunsucker and most recently Greg hardy.

Augusto Sakai is the third Brazilian confirmed on the card of UFC Las Vegas 43. The heavyweight joins Taila Santos, which faces Joanne calderwood, and Ketlen Scallop, who has the main fight of the night against the former champion Miesha Tate.
