The fight

The match began with Romanov testing Vanderaa with low kicks. Alexandr tried another action, with a high kick, which exploded in his opponent's guard. After almost two minutes, Romanov reached for his legs and took his opponent to the ground. Vanderaa got up, but was easily taken down two more times. Time passed and Romanov continued to show off takedowns on his opponent, who didn't give up on staying on his feet. In the final seconds, the athletes started to exchange franks, but there was no more time.

In the second stage, Romanov didn't want to test himself in the stand-up fight. In the opening seconds, the Moldovan went up and took down his opponent. From above, the 'giant' launched attacks from below and tried to end the confrontation. The fighter threatened a katagatame, but Vanderaa defended himself well. Alexandr continued to use brute force and punished his opponent with ground and pound. Romanov remained aggressive, while his rival protected himself as best he could. Near the final minute, Jared tried to get up, but Alexandr continued to press. Towards the end of the stage, Romanov applied a new 'punishment session'. Noticing Vanderaa's condition, the referee stopped the match.

A true bloodbath marked the penultimate fight on the preliminary card. Victim of a well-aimed elbow in the third round, Damon Jackson managed to ignore a deep cut suffered by the action and controlled the actions in the face of Charles Rosa. After 15 minutes of technical fight, the athlete was declared the winner in a split decision by the judges.

With the result, Jackson added his second victory in three fights. The athlete celebrates the triumph in his second stint in Ultimate.

Defeated at UFC Vegas, Rosa continues to fail to score two consecutive victories since his debut in the organization. The combatant had triumphed over Justin jaynes.

Lupita Godinez dominates and submits Silvana Juarez

In the second fight on the card, Lupita Godinez finished Silvana Juarez with an armbar in the first round. The Mexican took no notice of the Argentine, who accepted the fight at the last minute and was superior in all aspects of the fight.

The victory over Juarez was Lupita Godine's first in Ultimate. The former LFA champion recovered from the defeat suffered in her debut, against Jessica penne, and now has six triumphs and just one setback in his career. Silvana Juarez, on the other hand, lost for the first time since 2018 and now has 10 wins and three losses.

In a dynamic fight, Garcia beats Ontiveros by knockout

The first duel of UFC Las Vegas 39 was full of emotions. After suffering two knockdowns in the first seconds of the fight, Steve Garcia he turned things around and dominated Charlie Ontiveros on the ground, opening a deep cut near his opponent's eye in the first round.

In the second round, after being hit by another clean blow from Ontiveros and bending his knee, Garcia recovered again, took the fight to the ground and achieved victory by technical knockout.

The victory was the first of Steve Garcia in his career in Ultimate. The Jackson-Wink MMA athlete now has 12 wins, nine by knockout and four defeats in his career. Ontiveros, in turn, continues without winning in the octagon. The “American Bad Boy” has 11 wins and eight losses, all of them by knockout.
