On the front line for a future middleweight (up to 83,9kg) title fight, Derek Brunson don't want to ruin the party Robert whittaker, but he has a bad feeling about the athlete's presence in the UFC 270. In an interview with 'The Schmo', the veteran admitted that he believes that the former champion will not be his opponent Israel adesanya on January 22, as scheduled, and has already offered himself as a replacement.

“For some reason, I feel like Whittaker isn't going to be in that fight. I'm not wishing anything bad on him, but I feel it. It will be my opportunity to have that title fight”, said the athlete.
An Ultimate representative since 2012, Brunson is close to realizing his dream. The athlete is having a great time and has proven himself inside the octagon, as he has won five consecutive victories.
In his last fight, in early September, Derek beat Darren till by completion. After the feat, the 37-year-old fighter remained in the top 5 in the Israeli category.
Current number four, Brunson hasn't known what it's like to lose for almost three years. Interestingly, his last stumble happened against Adesanya, when the Nigerian still didn't hold the group title.
