Hardly defeated by Rose namajunas in his second title defense at strawweight (up to 52,1kg.), Weili Zhang changed his surroundings and had the help of Henry Cejudo for the rematch against the North American, in UFC 268. Reinforcing weight in the Chinese's training, 'Triplo C' is more than confident in the former champion's success and the bet came in the form of a pun on social media.

Strawweight champion between 2019 and 2021, Zhang was marked in the history of Ultimate after promoting one of the best fights in all of women's MMA, when she overcame Joanna Jedrzejczyk, UFC 248. Just over a year later, Namajunas would be his opponent.
Against Rose, Weili didn't even have time to put his strategy into play. Victim of a well-aimed high kick delivered by the North American just over a minute into the match, the Chinese collapsed and succumbed to her opponent's technique.
The former division leader asked for an immediate rematch and was granted. On November 6, the Chinese will try to prove that she is still the best in the category and will need to overcome her opponent's qualities to return to the throne.
