After almost fainting at weigh-in, Aspen Ladd regrets canceled fight at UFC Las Vegas 38

Roosters' promise clarifies problems with the screen and states that the menstrual period influenced the process

Promise of roosters (up to 61,2kg.), in Ultimate, Aspen ladd had a fight canceled for the second time in a row. This time, the fighter ended up being directly responsible for the cut and lamented what happened on social media. The young woman had problems with the scale and almost fainted during the measurement. Menstrual period was decisive for the failure of the dehydration process.

“The fight is cancelled, again. It's all my fault. I got my period two days ago and had a miserable weight loss. I did the best I could and managed to reach 62,1kg. (The limit would be approximately 61,6kg.)”, wrote the combatant, in her account on Instagram.

Visibly weakened at the time of the measurement, Ladd starred in another unusual scene. The young woman requested the screen so she could try to weigh in without her clothes on, but the process ended up taking a few minutes longer than normal, causing tension and some questions about what was happening. Aspen then explained.

The problem with the screen was that the last thing I wanted was to bleed in front of the press”, he clarified.

According to the fighter, the duel was not canceled through the Athletic Commission. According to Ladd, her opponent, Macy chiasson chose not to follow through on the commitment.

“My opponent decided that she would not continue on the card, as is her right”, he concluded.
