Shevchenko again insinuates 'fork' in second fight against Amanda Nunes and says: 'She knows she lost'

Kyrgyzstani provokes MMA legend and shows confidence about the chance of a third clash against the 'Lione'

Absolute in the flyweight division of Ultimate, there is a lot of questioning about the next step for Valentina Shevchenko in the company. As far as the Kyrgyzstan woman depends, the duel may not be immediate, but it is simple: Amanda nunes. “I feel like she doesn’t want this (third) fight to happen. Inside her, she feels like she won her second victory as a gift, a gift from the judges. She feels like she was defeated by a smaller girl from a weight division below and she is bigger. It's a lot of pressure inside”, said Valentina, to 'The MMA Hour'.

After shining in UFC 266 and win his sixth title defense in the flyweight division, Shevchenko has already stated a few times that he is not in a hurry for the third fight. The athlete, however, remains confident that, at some point, the paths between the two champions will cross.

“That’s my goal. I know that when we fight next time I will be ready for anything. The time has passed. I’m a different fighter and she’s been different since we last fought,” she assured.

Last weekend, Shevchenko put on another show with the Ultimate gloves. Against the third place in the ranking of the group up to 56,7kg., Lauren Murphy, the athlete made it look easy and overpowered her rival with a knockout in the fourth round.

While she continues to be provoked by Valentina, Amanda is committed to yet another defense of her bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg). In December, the Brazilian attempts her sixth title defense in the category she has led since 2016.
