Anderson Silva regrets arrest of 'younger brother' Jon Jones: 'he is a wonderful person'

The former light heavyweight champion was arrested last Friday (24), accused of domestic violence, bodily harm and vehicle violation

A recent arrest of Jon Jones rocked Anderson Silva. The former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) was arrested last Friday morning (24), in Las Vegas, one day after enter the UFC Hall of Fame for his first fight against Alexander Gustafsson.

During his participation in the podcast The MMA Hour, on the North American website MMAFighting.com, Anderson Silva spoke briefly about what happened and lamented the arrest of Jones, whom he considers “a little brother”.

“I don’t know what happened to Jon Jones, but I feel sad because I feel like he's my little brother. I tell my manager this all the time. Jon Jones you do not need that. He is a wonderful person. I feel bad. It's hard for me to talk about Jon Jones, you know?”, said Spider.

Jon Jones was arrested in Las Vegas on charges of domestic violence, battery and vehicle tampering. The former light heavyweight champion was released after paying bail, with a value set at US$8, approximately R$43.
