Duel between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez is rescheduled for November 13th, says website

Hawaiian and Mexican occupy first and third position in the featherweight rankings, respectively; confrontation could define who will be the next challenger for the title

Initially scheduled for July 17th, the fight between Max Holloway e Yair Rodriguez There's a new date to happen. After recovering from an injury that forced the organizers to postpone the fight, the Hawaiian is ready to return to action and will therefore face the Mexican on November 13th, in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg). The information was released by journalist Brett Okamoto, from 'ESPN'.

The organization pits the first against third in the featherweight rankings. The winner can even define the next challenger for the division belt, in a title that will be disputed in the UFC 266 between Alexander Volkanovsky e Brian ortega.

Considered one of the best in the history of the category, Holloway is coming off a relentless performance against Calvin kattar, UFC Fight Island 7. The Hawaiian has a record of 22 wins and six losses in his career, which began in 2010.

Rodriguez, today, has 16 appearances as a professional in MMA. In the sport since 2011, the Mexican has won 13 triumphs, has two setbacks and one fight without result. The fighter was involved in negotiations to face the current number three in the rankings, Zabit Magomedsharipov, in one of the most anticipated clashes in the category's recent history. The clash, however, ended up not happening in 2020.
