Even though he had never won an Ultimate belt, Nick Diaz has a large number of admirers, and Joe Rogan is one of them. One of MMA's main commentators, the professional surprised by stating that the 'bad boy', who returns to action this Saturday (25), at least UFC 266, was responsible for a 'revolution' in sport.

"Nick Diaz changed the game with his elite conditioning. He did something that was new, which was not hitting you with 100% of his force. He'll use 50%, but he'll hit you twice as many times. You'll never be able to breathe. He’s going to be on top of you the whole time, talking,” Rogan said, in his podcast.

An admirer of Nick's style, Rogan continued explaining how the athlete can be 'deadly' in a confrontation. The psychological part is also a determining factor and it's all about a fighter who has the weapons to overcome his opponent.

“Psychologically, it will disturb your breathing, affecting you. Once it realizes you are hurt, it will undermine your body. On top, he will have a black belt in jiu-jitsu, with good takedown defenses, a chin of steel and a lot of desire. These guys (the Diaz brothers) do a lot of triathlons. It's one of the reasons they are so resilient and in great shape. They never get tired,” he concluded.

This weekend, Nick will make his return to MMA after more than six years of inactivity. On the other side of the octagon, the veteran will have an old acquaintance, Robbie Lawler. The two faced each other in 2004 and, around 17 years later, they once again shared the fighting field.
