The trajectory of the heavy weight (up to 120,2kg.) alistair overeem in combat sports is near the end. In an interview with the North American website 'MMA Junkie', the athlete – who returned to Glory – revealed that he only has one more year left in his career and thinks about his retirement frequently.

“I believe my age is kind of limited and I'm realistic about that. My end is coming. It will be my last year and it's over. A year, a year and a half. We have to be realistic. You can’t forget that I’m 41 years old and I’m getting older,” Overeem confessed.
In his career in combat sports, Alistair is recognized as one of the main names in history, having won the Dream, K-1 and Strikeforce titles. He, however, regrets that he was unable to achieve the same feat in the UFC.
“I would like to finish my UFC career, but it wasn't just up to me. I had a great time there, but maybe it's time for a new generation to come along. The only thing missing was the UFC belt on my wall and I was very close to achieving it. If I could change something (in the trajectory), it would be that”, concluded the athlete.
As an Ultimate athlete, 'Daredevil' came close to achieving his goal, when he had the chance to face the division champion at the time, Stipe Miocic. In the fight, he started well and almost got knocked out, but ended up getting tired, suffered a comeback and was defeated in the first round.
After his contract with the organization ended, alistair overeem He decided to 'return to his roots' and signed with Glory. In his first fight, he will fight for the heavyweight title against Rico Verhoeven, on October 23rd.
