Since then, as the Kyrgyzstani moved to flyweight (up to 56,7kg) and dominated the division, the possibility of a trilogy happening is something constantly speculated by the specialized MMA press. And, in an interview with 'TMZ Sports', Valentina signaled positively for a new challenge against Amanda.

“I think if fate puts this fight in front of us, most of us will do it. I'm really focused on my flyweight division and I just want to be (a better fighter), but when (the third fight with Nunes) happens, I'll be here,” said Shevchenko.

While a possible fight against the 'Lioness' is not negotiated, Valentina Shevchenko continues looking to expand his legacy in Ultimate and defends his belt against Lauren Murphy next Saturday (25). To date, she has five title defenses and a record of 21 triumphs and three setbacks.

Currently, Amanda nunes holds two belts simultaneously and is preparing to face Julianna Pena, UFC 269, for the title of roosters (up to 65,7kg.). In her career, there are 21 triumphs and four defeats, in addition to being, for many, the greatest fighter of all time.
