Pezão encourages Cigano to compete against Velasquez: 'This belt will be yours'

Despite the defeat suffered by the champion Cain Velazquez last Saturday (25), in the main fight of UFC 160, heavyweight Antônio “Pezão” Silva continues to fight for the division title. However, not for himself, but for his friend Junior Gypsy – the next title challenger. For the Twitter, Pezão showed support for his compatriot.

“Thank you for your kindness, my friend Junior Gypsy. Go with faith that this belt will be yours. My lion…”, wrote Pezão on the microblogging network. Along with the message, the fighter published an image in which Cigano appears supporting him at the press conference that followed his defeat to Velasquez.

The heavyweight belt dispute between Junior “Cigano” dos Santos and Cain Velazquez It has already been confirmed by the Ultimate organization, but there is still no date set for it to take place. This will be the third time that the two athletes have faced each other, all for the category title.
