Fighter Ibragim Todashev, aged 27, was shot and killed by the FBI on Tuesday night (21) in Florida (USA), suspected of involvement in the bombings at the Boston Marathon – which took place on April 15 . According to information from the investigative agency, Todashev was “violent” during the officers’ approach.
Ibragim Todashev had only had one fight as a professional, on July 27, 2012, for Real Fighting Championships – a smaller event in the United States. On that occasion, he submitted Bradford May in the second fight of RFC 27: Showtime.

The FBI has not yet commented in more detail on Todashev's death, but according to information being circulated by the North American press, passed on by a friend of the fighter, the death would have occurred after an interrogation about his links with the Tsarnaev brothers – main suspects responsible for the attack.

One of the press outlets in the United States, WESH (an NBC affiliate in Orlando), went further in establishing the relationship between Ibragim and the Tsarnaev brothers. According to the television channel, Todashev knew his older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, through sport, as Tamerlan also practiced MMA. The information, however, has not been officially confirmed.
