On the 9th of October, Mackenzie dern will star in a UFC event for the first time, making the main fight of the night against the Brazilian Marina Rodriguez by the organization's strawweight division (up to 52,2 kg).

In an interview with the LowKick MMA website, the jiu-jitsu specialist spoke about her expectations for the duel against Marina. Mackenzie dern praised her opponent, stated that she expects a difficult fight, but stated that she knows the way to achieve victory.
“I think my style matches hers well and we saw in the fight against Amanda ribas that I definitely can't get too comfortable with her. She is experienced and has more fights than me, her range is very good. Looking at the fights she had in the UFC, it's no secret that her weakness is ground fighting.
