There is only one place left in the semi-finals of TUF Brasil 2. In the 10th episode of the program, shown this Sunday (19),  Leo Santos, from the team Rodrigo Minotauro, and Viscardi Andrade, from the team of Fabricio Werdum, hit Thiago Marreta e David Vieira and guaranteed passage to the next phase. They join William Patolino, who had won the right last week.

This Sunday's program featured a special guest. José Aldo, the organization's featherweight champion and personal friend of Leo Santos, visited the recordings to follow his colleague's fight.

As soon as he entered the green team's locker room, Aldo hugged Leo and revealed that his friend was one of the people who helped him the most at the beginning of his career. “I lived at the gym, he would stop by and leave me some money for coffee. He has always helped me for a long time, believed in my potential, always gave me strength, so today having the opportunity to be here accompanying him is wonderful”, said Aldo, who helped Leo in the dispute, staying in his corner during the fight. fight.

Leo Santos vs. Sledgehammer

Known for his ground fighting skills, Leo Santos He started the fight ready to surprise. He used his good wingspan to land some punches on Marreta. However, when the representative of Werdum's team tried to release his standing game, Leo quickly closed the distance and pinned his opponent to the cage.

Like the duel in the clinch, Santos quickly got the takedown and took the fight to the ground. From then on, he evolved in positions and worked with some punches and elbows from above, which opened a cut on Thiago's eyebrow.

In the second round, Marreta tried to keep the fight at medium distance and even landed a few stomps on his rival's knee. But, just as he had done in the previous part, Leo soon shortened the fight, sought the clinch and took the fight to the ground.

With total control of the ground fight, the representative of the Minotauro team controlled the actions until the bell sounded and took the fight with a unanimous decision from the judges.

“Let me say something. O (José Aldo) Junior has to be in all my fights now”, joked Leo, already in the locker room.

Ninja leaves Werdum team

Before the second fight of the episode, a moment marked the edition. The athlete Juliano Ninja, dissatisfied with the behavior of Fabricio Werdum in the leadership of the yellow team left the team.

The confusion began when Werdum dropped some bombs at the door of the rival locker room and, for Ninja, the attitude would interfere with whoever was scheduled to fight.

“The reality is this: not everyone is born to be a leader. I wanted to see if he was the one who had to fight and someone dropped bombs. My friend, no one here is a doll. You have to have respect for whoever is going to fight. Afterwards, it will pay off”, complained Ninja.

“Werdum has a 150kg ass, a fat ass that size, and he doesn’t do anything. A big soft ass, man, he's no good,” added the irritated fighter, who wrote 'Team Ninja Oss' over the name 'Team Werdum' on his training shirt.

Viscardi vs. David

The second fight of the program started with a big surprise for everyone. During the traditional face-off after the weigh-in, Viscardi raised his arm and touched it to David's face. At this moment, the representative of the green team went after the opponent and the fight seemed to start a day in advance. However, it was all just a joke.

The performance had been agreed upon by the athletes the day before. The two freed themselves, laughed, greeted each other and returned to a face full of smiles.

The fight

Just like in the first fight of the program, the fighters had different objectives in the dispute. David wanted to fight on the ground, while Viscardi thought about maintaining the fight with striking.

As soon as the fight started, David managed to close the distance and take the fight to the ground, but he fell on the bottom and was unable to work on his jiu-jitsu. In turn, Viscardi connected a few punches on his rival, but soon got up and the fight returned to striking.

Visibly more prepared for the fight in his striking, Andrade landed a sequence of hooks to the body and a straight right that knocked down the green team's athlete, who even took a few more punches on the ground. In the last second of the first half, Viscardi managed another knockdown, this time with a straight right.

After losing the first round, David returned lost for the second round. Unable to close the distance, the representative of Minotauro's team rotated around the octagon and tried to call his rival into guard. Viscardi, on the other hand, did not take risks in his striking to avoid being taken down, but he was always precise in his attacks.

In the final moments, without success in the takedowns, David tried to land two stomps on Viscardi's face, who didn't seem to feel the blows and continued walking forward until finishing the contest on top of his opponent and winning by the judges' decision.
