Retired from MMA since October last season, Khabib Nurmagomedov has increasingly become a sports analyst. Eyeing the rematch between Kamaru Usman e Colby covington, scheduled for November 6, the Russian admitted to having warned the welterweight champion (up to 77kg.) about the difficulties for the new meeting. The fighters head the UFC 268.

“It’s the toughest fight for Kamaru at welterweight. I met him in Dubai a week ago and told him this. Usman understands very well and is training hard, he has a good chance of winning. Kamaru has evolved in his striking, he knocks out everyone. Not everyone likes Covington, but he knows how to fight,” said Khabib, in an interview with 'RTSport'.
The first meeting between Usman and Covington inside the octagon took place at UFC 245. On that occasion, the fighters put on one of the best performances of that season. The show ended in the fifth round, when the champion managed a knockout over the North American.
Welterweight champion since 2019, Usman has been collecting victims over the last few years. In addition to defending his belt on four occasions, the Nigerian continues to extend his undefeated streak in MMA.
After being defeated by Kamaru, Covington managed to recover in the duel against Tyron woodley, in September 2020. After beating the group's former leader, 'Caos' regained its status as challenger for the title.
