UFC closes event at Indiana Pacers gym for August

Event at the NBA team gym takes place on August 28th

Ultimate announced its return to the city of Indianapolis after more than two years. The event takes place on August 28th, a Wednesday. The fight night stage will be the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, home of the NBA's Indiana Pacers basketball team, one of the most traditional in the entire league.

Scheduled for a Wednesday, the event will be part of the resumption of the UFC Fight Night series, which will be held again with the launch of the channel FOX Sports 1 on North American TV. Information about the card has not yet been released by the organization.

Ultimate has held events in this same gym in the past, but still under the name Conseco Fieldhouse. The last of them, on September 25, 2010, had a fight between heavyweights Frank mir and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović heading the card and the Brazilian’s victory Rogério Minotouro about Ryan bader as co-main event.
