After PFL #8, Bruno Cappelozza celebrates an impressive victory and justifies the excitement in the fight

Paulista knocked out Jamelle Jones in the second most important fight of the night; he faces Ante Delija at the end of the tournament

Bruno Cappelozza It's just joy. After knocking out Jamelle Jones in the co-main fight of PFL #8 this Thursday (19), the Brazilian reached the grand final of the heavyweight Grand Prix (up to 120,2kg.) and is one step away from winning the ' jackpot' of US$ 1 million (around R$ 5,2 million). He now has a revenge against Before Delija in the tournament decision.

In a post-event press conference, Cappelozza stated that he knew his hand would come in and said he was happy with his ability to defend takedowns against Jones, known for his sharp wrestling. The São Paulo native even adopted low kicks to inhibit his opponent's movement and reveals that the technique is one of his 'flagships'.

“I was very well prepared. After I thwarted his takedown attempts, I knew that one day my hand would come in and I would be able to finish the fight, thank God. To reach the final of the tournament, the Brazilian went through his own Before Delija and Mo DeReese, both in the first round, and qualified first in the initial phase. He then needed two rounds to also knock out Jamelle Jones. Professional since 2010, he has a record of 13 triumphs – 13 of which are knockouts – and five setbacks in his career.
