Elias Silverio (c) wins the US welterweight belt Jungle Fight
O Jungle Fight On Saturday night (04), he met his new welterweight champion (up to 77 kg). Elias Silvério sweated, but he made the most of his experience count and won, in a unanimous decision by the referees, against Junior Orgulho from Bahia. The fight was the main attraction of the Jungle Fight 52, an event held at the UEPA gymnasium, in Belém, Pará. Born in Pirapora do Bom Jesus, in São Paulo, “Xuxu”, as he is known, remains undefeated in nine fights, four of which at JF, and succeeds Erick silva in the position of holder of the Jungle Belt.
Despite accepting the fight less than 10 days in advance to replace Michel Trator, signed by the UFC, Junior Orgulho, 23 years old, put in a lot of work and showed the resilience of a warrior. Junior used the well-known boxing at the Champion gym to almost always balance the actions against the four years older Elias. Xuxu found his opponent's weak point in his kick defenses and abused Álvaro de Aguiar's muay thai to gradually grow in the fight, score points and become the new 77kg champion of the event.
D'Silva makes a spectacular debut in Jungle Fight
In the co-main fight of the night, a true spectacle starring Douglas D'Silva and Toninho Marajó. The people from Pará showed why the state is home to some of the biggest names in world MMA, starring, from the first minute, in a show of striking and plastic strikes, with knockout opportunities for both sides. Until at 2min17sec of the second round, Douglas, who was making his debut in the Jungle Fight, landed a left cross on Toninho's chin, who fell almost knocked out. On the ground, he simply completed the job with a new sequence of punches and scored his 19th victory, still undefeated in his career.
