Confident, Lauren Murphy believes she can 'shock the world' by beating Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 266

With five consecutive victories, the North American is confident about her chances of becoming flyweight champion

No UFC 266, an event that will be held on September 25th, Lauren Murphy will have the difficult mission of trying to end the reign of Valentina Shevchenko in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg) in the second most important fight of the night. And, in an interview backstage at edition number 265, which took place last Saturday (7), the fighter is excited and focused on her possibilities in the fight.

“My focus, on what I can do in my career, has changed a lot over time and as time passes, this has intensified. I now wonder what I am capable of, and over the last few years I have surprised everyone,” said Murphy.

Former Invicta FC champion, Lauren is having a great time in Ultimate, with five consecutive victories. She, however, believes that she still has more surprises in her career and plans to fight against Valentina.

“It’s been an incredible journey and I don’t think it will end on September 25th. I really think I'm capable of incredible things (…), I dream (about the title) every day. I imagine what it will be like for us and I really want that”, added the fighter.
